Beyond tours, the same arrangement covers the travel-booking partners behind places to stay, hostels and apartments, rail passes and rail tickets, intercity buses, airport transfers and car hire, luggage storage, eSIM data, flights and travel insurance. If you click through and book in any of those categories, the partner pays us a fee. The price you pay is the same either way, and the listing carries the final figure.

Where This Site Earns Nothing

Plenty of what this site points to earns us nothing. Fushimi Inari Taisha charges no admission and its grounds are free to walk. The ten GuruWalk pay-what-you-want walks in English earn no commission either: you tip the guru directly if you choose. City bus and subway fares, and every operator-direct link, sit beside the paying links rather than behind them. A listing earns a place on its merits, not on whether it pays.

What The Payment Model Never Changes

Inclusion and ordering on this site are editorial. No operator pays to appear, and no tour is ranked because of a commercial relationship. Ratings and review counts are the booking platforms' own published figures, shown only where they exist; a listing with no reviews is presented as exactly that. Prices in yen come from the venues, the city, the rail operators and the weather service's own pages. Where sources disagree or a figure is unconfirmed, we say so rather than picking a side.
